New Years Eve Corset

We've had several calls this week for women looking for corsets to wear New Year's Eve and few were looking for underwear corsets. This is great news for us at Farthingales L.A. as we've always seen corsets as a great fashion accessory. A little black corset can go a long way! We've approached various boutiques about carrying our corsets as fashion accessories but with the economy in the state that it is none have been willing to take the risk. However two lingerie companies have shown interest and one already has some "little black" corsets on the floor. Corsets in Santa Monica

Alot has happend since June and the corset shop is now by appointment only - which has worked out better than I expected. We just spent a few evenings vendoring at Shecky's Girls Night Out and it was great to see so many women interested in our corsets. I met the owner of Luxe Lingerie in Beverly Hills a few weeks ago and some of our corsets are now in the Luxe Lingerie boutique!

This is one of the corsets that is now at Luxe. The great thing is - it doesn't have to be lingerie!

Photo shoot with Heavynn

It's been over a week since my photo shoot with Heavynn of "Lost Heavynn". I connected with the photographer Carola Hochst and Heavynn brought make-up artist Keevan Haywood. Heavynn was great to work with I had a plan and she was totally open to the looks and Carola helped me get the poses I wanted, I gave Keevan photos of the make-up looks I wanted and he did a great job creating them on Heavynn. It was a long day but we all enjoyed it - got the shots and still had a good time.

Corsets in Vegas

I spent the past weekend in Vegas for the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend at the Orleans hotel. The days were spent vendoring and exhibiting our corsets along with Sue Nice who does our custom work. The evenings were spent watching burlesque performances - some were truly incredible! We met some great people and saw several fans of our corsets - many were wearing them.
